Gear
What type of gear do you use to do your investigations?
Do you think any certain product is easier to use, better.. etc?

Re: Gear
I think for investigations you should have stuff like: flashlights, voice recorders, cameras, maybe something that makes a little noise so the ghost or spirit can draw off of it what about you??

Re: Gear
I always have my digital recorder.. I also have a digital camera which is always good. You have the ability to take TONS of photos, without the worry of having to have them all processed, and coming back with bad photos.
I also have a video camera, but it doesn't do too well in the dark, and if you're outside, using the light draws too many bugs, lots of false positives there..
I would love to have some kind of infrared camera, and also an emf dectector. But, as of right now,.. that will have to wait..
Oh, and yes, many flashlights...

Re: Gear
i dont find it necessary to have all the top notch equipment. im fine with just my digital recorders and my digital camera wich takes video aswell. not so good in the dark but if i have light source somewhere it helps it.i am saving up for external microphones though. that will come in handy sence i usually have one recorder resting near the graves or particular part of the building then walk around with the other one.the only true thing i would want is a digital cam corder that has night vision capability. not the infrared cameras. just the usually green screen. it has some of that same technology just at a lower scale.

Re: Gear
what would be really helpfull. if they were to make night vision goggles that recorded video. that way you can see what your recording at all times.cause sometimes we see things with our own two eyes that the camera is not there to see.so they should make that. imaging strapping the night vision to your head and recording video! that would be awesome. i should make that suggestion to some companies.

Re: Gear
That is a good point.. I've actually thought the same thing.. It would be cool just to see the paranormal, but without evidence, it's really hard to back it up...
It would creep me out though, if I were wearing them, and a spirit jumped in front of me.. I think I'd have a heart attack.. but it would be cool to catch it in video..
