Re: Chupacabra in South Texas
I hope that is right.
The skeptic part of me always thinks the worst...then things can get better. It works for me most the time.
I just know quite a few things get taken off Google. I can say this because when I had my original Night Sky.org there were pages and pages of theories about the moon being hollow. I searched when I reopened the site and there was very little...There still isn't much there worth anything. It went somewhere. Whether it be fact or fiction though, it should just be left as-is.
Another thought. With all the information stored on Google, Just how huge of a hard drive must they have? I mean most points you else-where , but even so, to do that..they must have a huge system.

Re: Chupacabra in South Texas
I know what you're saying. I think a lot of sites that were around a few years ago, no longer exist.. and whatever they had was lost when they went down..
But, I do think there seems to be something strange going on when things are in the news, and then you can't find them anywhere online.. I know a lot of it has to do with knowing where to look, or certain search terms, but even so, with the way sites are built now a days, it should be easy to find what you're looking for.

Re: Chupacabra in South Texas
Now that was what I was attempting to say, you just did it better. Most times I have no problem finding what I'm looking for..through trial and error & wasted time. But other things that are mainstream news I can't ever find...even after hours of looking. Some may be a typo on my part, but not always. Most search engines are very forgiving in that way, and ask you...Do you mean ....xxxxxx?
Another thing I thought out of the norm, when I woke yesterday morning I was curious, so first thing I did ( Rather than go to CNN or Fox News ) was to put Obama VP in Google, right away it came up with the answer. I was pretty much under the belief that Search Engines spidered the web for information. I didn't think it could be entered directly, but I guess it can. That could be either a good or bad thing.

I don't know.. but something with Obama.. that's pretty much one of the top stories.. so it's probably everywhere too.

Re: Chupacabra in South Texas
True. But it did get in there really fast. If they can add things, I guess they can take them away as well.
