Six month stays on the moon?
I posted this on the wiki, but if you haven't seen it.. I'm posting it here as well..

You got me on this one, I've not heard it, but want to find out more. I strongly believe there already bases their...for longer than 6 months stays. How sure are we that they want to share the real estate?

Your welcome.. I thought it was interesting..
I am all for space exploration, and newer and better technologies.. but can you imagine how much money this is going to cost? Did you hear about the solar probe that was like $700 million dollars thats going to fly near the sun? I just can't imagine spending that kind of money on anything when people are starving.
But.. I do think it is interesting anyway.

I feel like you, just because it is flying close...for 3/4 of a billion dollars it had better get some real good info. That's what bothers me, NASA ( as well as other agencies ) spend money like they have bottomless pockets. It's killing people like you & I because that's our tax money at work. Right now 1/3 of my paycheck is deducted for taxes, which makes me sick. I doubt Social Security will be around if I ever do get to retire. And I don't believe we should have to pay big bucks for past presidents retirements. Most came in with their own money...spend millions to get elected and then we get to foot the bill. It should be like any other public service job. Especially in Bush's case. He kills our economy and we have to support his habits until he dies?
I checked the link on the Return to the Moon link. It got me to Yahoo, but the link to read the entire story was a dead link. ( I'm a bad old skeptic there huh? )

I did the same thing, and couldn't find anything more doing a search. So I wonder how true it actually is..? I'm sure if they really plan on doing this, it will eventually be all over the news. I would love to be one of the volunteers though..
