Re: Did you see this?
I wish I had seen it. That was a very good clip...and not short.
With all the snow we have had really cloudy skies, so that may have been part of it. Along with me not being in the right place at the right time.
I'm waiting for more footage to come out. The skeptic in me is getting aroused. Maybe it wasn't a meteor?

Re: Did you see this?
I considered that too.. especially since it doesn't seem like it was tracked.. scientists are supposed to be able to pinpoint just about anything beyond our atmosphere.. arn't they?? I don't think anyone saw this coming..
But, it is a pretty amazing video anyway.. if you type "canada meteor" and look in news .. a list of links comes up..

It was The Astronomy Picture Of The Day for Tuesday. It was looped, but was the same video.

Info
I copied & Pasted this from CoasttoCoast, I think it was Wednesdays Show:
Gods, UFOs, and the Bible
Theologian and author Patrick Cooke discussed how his research counters Erich von Däniken's notion that aliens have been mistaken for gods. Cooke contends that gods have been mistaken for aliens. Powerful gods or "Elohiym" traveled to Earth in spacecraft or UFOs; also associated with these vehicles were the "Malak," angels who serve the gods, he said.
In the Bible, UFOs are depicted as clouds, transporting angels and gods. They are able to descend and ascend, hover, move rapidly and generally behave in ways that seem contrary to natural laws, Cooke stated. These craft could be the same as the UFOs that are sighted in the modern era, he suggested. Biblical figures such as Elijah, Moses and Enoch all experienced "divine abductions" which may relate to current reports of alien encounters.
He also touched on other aspects of the Bible that seemingly portray paranormal activity, including cryptozoological creatures (see below), ghosts, and prophecy. In a verse written by David, his description of the afterlife-- "and we fly away" echoes that of near-death experiencers, Cooke noted.

Patrick Cooke has documented descriptions in the Bible of what we could consider legendary or cryptozoological creatures, including giants, dragons, unicorns, ****atrices (pictured), fiery flying serpents, and sea monsters. Check out his Biblical Bestiary for specific citations.

Re: Did you see this?
I have heard that theory, that what they perceived in the clouds.. chariots on fire.. etc.. were actually UFO's.. even famous religious paintings depit such things. How could anyone come up with that, if these are recent "hoaxes". I really think they've been around for thousands of years..
I have a Time Life series book, about unexplained things, and it has a drawn photo suggesting that aliens are the ones who helped us "discover" fire... I think they help us in many ways, and I think some exist as interdemential beings, and are always close. Could be why many escape without being noticed..
As for the cryptozoology.. there have always been mention of strange and unusual beings.. some indians would "create" such beasts as being in the water to keep their children from falling in.. I do believe thoughts can create very real things.. If enough people believe in something, it "springs to life". But I don't doubt there are many creatures, that are still undiscovered.

Re: Did you see this?
I totally agree on your thoughts of thinking so much on something that it would actually be real to them, I have always believed that. Even present time I believe that is true.
