Very true. It's good to know that I'm not the only one with thoughts of Doom & Gloom. But you are right, I can see how technology can very well be used against us for evil, instead of good things it was originally developed for. That's been shown through-out history.
Think how great it would be, if it were all for good, and not one individuals advancement.

I think we could go farther than we could ever possibly imagine. They say that the atlantians were farther advanced than we are now, and they eventually hurt themselves in the long run... sure would be cool to find that place..
But, I really didn't mean to sound so glum.. I actually thought about re-doing that post.. but I feel it is the truth, so I left it..

It was the truth. I don't see humanity going down the right path. I keep hearing about the NWO, that scares the snot out of me. And I do think that is when ET will start showing itself.

I don't know.. I have heard about that too, and I really don't know what to think about it. I can almost see it unfolding, but is that the way we are really going to go.. ?
As far as aliens.. in my honest opinion.. if they are more advanced than us, I can't see them coming to "hurt" us, what would be the point? More advanced civilizations usually seek out weaker ones to help them progress.. maybe that is what they are doing?
Maybe that is why they are beginning to show themselves all over the place.. maybe they are here BECAUSE we are heading in that direction?
They've been known to hover around nuclear power plants.. is it because they are upset? or are they pulling the energy off of them? (Just a couple of things I wonder about...)

I share all your thoughts there, With the exception of Nuke Plants. I'm assuming to them Nuclear power is what coal and firewood once was to us. I'd think they have a much more refined power.
I do believe they lurk around them, but it's for other reasons, possibly some way to make them cease to work, or just make them melt down in general, Who would know what they know about fission. Could be like pla-doh to them. They also gather around dams...electric grids. I think they are just keeping us in check, someday they will pull the plug, and it's lights out.

Hmm.... doesn't sound like you'll be holding any welcome signs when they make themselves known.. 
I'm like you in thinking they are keeping an eye on us, but I think it is because they want to see how far we are progressing.. I don't think they mean us any harm.

I don't think they mean us harm either. I'm going along with the theme in "The Day The Earth Stood Still" That was a pretty good movie, I watch it each time it's on. They come as friends, but if we don't stop messing up, they wouldn't have a problem wiping us out either, That is my thoughts.
Heck...I'd hold up a sign. Just not one that would read "Eat At Joes"
