That is pretty slick. I was playing with it, Almost lost track of time. Something like that has big potential. Now if they could add planets & sky scapes, I could create a new splash screen.

Not sure if you've ever checked my links, but here is a link I've used quite often The Storm

I have a couple interactive links...I think they are cool. I'm important to me.

The storm one is pretty cool.. I love to hear it thunder.. My daughter and I will always run outside right before a storm hits.. usually when the wind first picks up, and you can feel the static in the air.. LOVE it!!

I like the sound controls in the program too.. hehehe.. says there's a new one coming? I'd like to see how that one works..

I've been waiting a couple years for the new one, there are a couple variations of the present one though, You just need to search the site for them.

I love making crafts, and my kids and I were talking about trying to make a "haunted house.. doll house".. so, we were doing a search on different ideas and came accross items for a Harry Potter/Hogwarts castle theme..

The items are WAY EXPENSIVE.. (so we will recreate most of our own.. emoticon ) But, they are so interesting, that I thought it would be a good site to share a link on ..

Take a look at some of the detail.. pretty cool. http://erickav.com/evminiatures_index.htm

This might be an interesting idea, if we decide to give it a go, I think I'll upload pictures of the process.. emoticon

That would be so cool. Especially the haunted house theme. My sister once had a doll house like that, with all of the miniatures, but when she got divorced her husband ruined it, you know..the spite thing or whatever. But I do know that many, many hours of work go into that, along with the expense. Good Luck. If you go with it...post the progress here somewhere.

I had a 2nd sister that also started a doll house, but one year all she got for Christmas were things for the doll house, nothing else. She lost interest in it right after opening her last present. Go figure.

I've never had a doll house, never had any interest in it.. was never the type to play with barbie dolls or any of that.. I was happy playing with rocks, and climbing trees... emoticon

I don't know if we'll go through buying the house itself, or whether we'll construct one from paper mache and cardboard.. or even the thin balsa type wood that you can get at the craft store... we're going to go look at what they've got sometime this week, and guess we'll decide then.

Some of the miniatures are so expensive.. and I'm pretty crafty with little things.. we'll see.. I always spring up an awesome idea, and then it withers away.. but the kids are interested in doing it too, so that will probably keep my interest alive..

Speaking of paper mache.. I saw this woman on a tv show last week... she's pretty awesome..

You have to check out how they're made at the top.. WOW!!!

You know what?? If you are handy or crafty with lots of patience, I'd start making dragons. Wow, at $179 a copy you could really do well. And they look good too, they sure don'y look like paper-maché. They almost look metalic.

I know.. I think they look awesome.. I had to look her up after seeing her on tv.. I've never really messed with paper mache either, so I think I need to start small.. emoticon Maybe work my way up..

I used to do really good with porcelain clay.. not that stickly modeling stuff, but that has been many years ago.. I already volunteered to make the little people.. (I may change my mind on that.. lol)

Heck...stick it out...You may benifit in the long run. I'm thinking that on those paper mache dragons a person is going to need to use some very small & delicate paper to get such detail, Shredded to almost be like hair, not what we get from our household shredders, And something finer grained than newspaper.

I had an Aunt that worked with clay too, She did it all, had her own little kiln, a few hundred molds...then we had a big old barn fire...she lost it all. She took it pretty well, heck...what could we do..wasn't our fault, there was an arson running around for a few months.
