I don't know.. I know animals can sense danger.. running in opposite directions and such before major earthquakes.. etc.. Insects must feel it too, I've noticed in the middle of summer, right before storms.. everything is so silent.. trees stop blowing.. crickets quit chirping.. really weird!

I think the senses that animals have are incredible, especially as you mentioned..before an earthquake. If you ever spent time close to an ocean they act different when extreme tides happen. I noticed that maybe 3 times, I lived about 1/4 mile from the beach, whenever there was an extremely high or low tide and it was slack water it was so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop, where normally you could hear nothing but the roar of the surf.
And how about a good full moon..Same thing.

It was so spooky here friday night when I came home.. normally you can see the trees in the backyard pretty clear, even in a foggy night, .. but it was so thick, and the moon was huge, even though it wasn't a full moon.. had a real mystical feel.. I love nights like that.!

Me too. When it's cloudy or overcast or foggy, it looks even better when the move is above the clouds and lights them up from behind. I could take a night like that much better than a starry summer night with crickets chirping. A good Halloween type night.

The Lord of the Rings...Where there is really never a bright & sunny day, just something about that. Even the old animated version I liked for that reason.
