I know what you mean.. The first year we tried it.. it was hectic, and absolutely crazy. I used textbooks that I bought from Amazon.. (good books but I had no structure) It was really difficult. I didn't think I would be able to handle it.. but then last year we tried using a homeschool curriculum.. some of it was really good, (even though, this year, we are trying yet again, another curriculum) I think this year is going to be so much better. I also have a new (free) software program that can help me keep up with grades, plan field trips, assignments.. etc..
If you decide to try homeschooling,.. it will take a commitment, it's not always easy, but I have found out that there are LOTS of people willing to lend you a hand in their experiences. Support groups and online resources can also help a lot.
I personally am so happy that I made the decision to homeschool. I really didn't have the confidence that I could actually do it, but I learn things right along with them, and it really isn't all that hard.
Congrats to you on your new business! I wish you all the best success! And as far as his schooling.. I think you still have lots of time to decide what you would like to do..

If I had kids...I certainly wouldn't want to send them to public school...very scary there, and the others, parochial are turning out way smarter kids, but I'd be concerned with discipline and those perverted priests. I'd cast my vote for home school as well.

Home schooling is sounding more and more like the best option for our children these days! Thanks for the advice and ill keep that in mind in the next few years, like you said, i have plenty of time to decide!!
