I don't think any of them were man-made, Not even when the 2 guys in the UK fessed up years back, They are just too perfect for a couple guys to get finished in a couple hours in the dark of night. Especially in this case...it was really close to housing too. Like she said with her being up/down all night...she should have seen or heard something, keep us posted.

I most certainly will..  I was so excited to hear about this in Tennessee.. what is really weird.. you hear about this sort of thing in Europe a lot.. but not too much in the U.S... I was just thinking a few days ago, where the last one in the U.S. was spotted.. how cool it would be to be near by.. and then I get that phone call.. pretty odd!

Heck...Maybe you should be thinking to your self...how cool it would be to have one in the front lawn, or across the street. You just may wake up with the coolest most intricate design ever, within walking distance.

We were talking about them at work, the people I work with range from 27 to 61, They all believe in crop circles, that they are not man-made, and not any of them have a clue as to what they think causes them.
The static electricity thing...I never gave that a thought, I would think there should be some type of residual force though, maybe some energy we are not familiar with.

From what I've read, as well as on documentaries.. they have said that there is some kind of magnetic field.. (similar to what ghost hunters observe when paranormal activity is found) even static electricity.. and sparks of light that can be seen from what they believe to be "real crop circles".
They have even noticed that cell phones and watches won't work within the circle.. but stepping out of them, they can receive a signal, and their watches will go back to normal.. that is pretty interesting all by itself..
I think some are man made, but I don't believe they all are.. my friend in Michigan who told me about this crop circle was talking about when he lived in Toledo, and he witnessed jets taking off.. how he saw like a dust whirl come up and form one of these circles right before him.. but they were just one circle..
I'm sure there are lots of influences to cause just one circle.. but I don't think anything "natural" can cause the complex figures that people find in their fields..
What I do find strange is that there were two found in the last two years in this specific area, of course, that could either mean a hoax.. or it's the real thing.. if it's the real thing..there must be some reason they are picking that particular spot..
I know Oak Ridge is not that far from there and they have a major power plant.. but I don't think it is close enough for the connection of a crop circle/power plant sighting..
The witnesses don't believe this particular circle is a hoax, and it doesn't look like the real intricate geometric figures that alot of hoaxsters make.. I'm more inclined to believe it is the real thing..

The news clip you posted here in my opinion is the real deal, I have no doubts at all. And I enjoyed all the points you brought up. I never knew any...especially the one about the cell phone not working within one, but works fine outside, I find that totally incredible.
I'm still trying to figure out the item with the dust and jets... I think I understand, but not certain. Remember..you're explaining things to a stubborn German.
I'm thinking there could be some connection between a nuke plant and Crop Circles, But I wouldn't know how / what or why, and there is no way I could imagine or give a meaningful explanation as to why they appear over night. I'm not sold on Aliens or UFO's making them, but something does.
The only question I really have...and can give it all the deep thought I can muster, and still come up blank.
Why has never anyone seen created in daylight? You know..wake up, go get the paper...coffee ( Whatever ) everything is normal, but by the time you let the dog out the 2nd time, you have an incredible crop circle in your yard? And secondly, How come they are always immense in size? Why couldn't they be just as intricate, but say 10 or 20 foot accross?

There have been some that were smaller ones.. but I think most of them are overlooked, and thought that they were caused by something natural.. but they were never complex.. just the basic circle..
I saw a documentary once.. I was totally flipped out.. someone was filming a "spark" of light that seemed to be traveling over this field.. when suddenly a crop circle formed right before your eyes.. I was convinced it was real.. it sure looked like it!!
But, it was a film student.. who made this.. and would turn off and on the camera in between the crop being made, so you couldn't see anyone.. I was so upset..!
I wish I could remember what show it was on.. maybe unexplained mysteries or something like that..
I've heard that UFO's have been spotted near power plants.. and even a few crop circles have been found near there.. they claim that they may pull energy off of these.. I don't know much about that.. but it is something a bit odd.. I just wonder if they arn't checking up on us by coming near them instead..

I've heard many times about UFO's being sighted around power plants, you came up with a different train of thought than I though on that one. I think they are around possibly to implement havoc or something, you thought maybe like a quick charge or a filling station. I kind of like your idea more than mine. I probably got mine from watching to many Sci-Fi movies as a kid. I just figure if they travel any extreme distance, the better not need an en-route charge, or they may be in trouble, but then again...they know better than we do, it's very possible there may be such stations along the way from here to there, really a good thought!!
