Have you read Frazer's THE GOLDEN BOUGH, Amber Says? It's a great study into belief systems. I used it an awful lot when I was working on some projects during my first degree, as it contains a critical discussion of many of the major core belief systems.

I'm reading nothing right now ... but I have a load of books half finished and a few others lined up ... it's just finding the attention span to read them ...
