Re: What made you happy today?
The Hand of Fate, which drives the Cog of Inevitability, made me extraordinarily happy yesterday!

Re: What made you happy today?
Things can only get better... and they are already pretty damn good
Spending time in bed
Exercise
Cake, cake and more cake as an afterthought to a very fantastic (I'm sure) dinner tonight.

I feel *very* ill, but I've had a good day thanks to some great company. Here's to more

mmmmmmmmm, thanks to my wonderful little nephew, tonight I had a full quota of cake, and all different flavours too. yummy.
you jealous yet Paul?
I am a little.
I've had a very nasty chest infection, which involved me coughing up copious amounts of blood (fresh blood, thankfully) over the weekend, and yesterday morning I could barely breathe. Then I had to spend two hours in the doctor's surgery, waiting for an 'emergency' appointment before the doctor told me I should have gone to the hospital straight away. Finally, the doctor have me some antibiotics the size of horse-tranquilizers (the ultrastrong antibiotics, which he prescribed due to the severity of my chest infection) and steroids to aid my breathing (little red pills of which I must take eight per day), and then sending me off to the hospital for a chest x-ray.
However, despite all this, I'm still happy because last night, I ate lots of ice cream (really soothing for the sore throat I've developed, which I reckon must be due to coughing so much, but which is exacerbated by the horse-sized pills I've been given to take) and some really great company, for which I'm *very* thankful--it made me feel so much better.
Had another *really* good conversation on Sunday night, too, which made me an extraordinarily happy man
So the gist is: I'm very ill, but I'm still happy.

I found the tuner for my bass, so now I can tune it properly and play it again.
