I think it was the fact that he didn't do it at home but in a hotel and in front of two maids...
I'm not sure if simulating sex with a bicycle counts as exhibitionism or not.
And anyway, they walked in on this fella and his loving, pumping bicycle. It wasn't like he was doing it in the street. Would the outcome have been the same if they had walked into the room whilst he was snuggling up to another person, or enjoying the pleasure of his own company, so to speak? Probably not.
