Hello Hello
Ok so ... with some of us using "forum names" I think it might be good for us also to introduce ourselves
Just a quick introduction so we get a basic idea of who's who. and also if the tutors can PM me with who they are and their specialty subject (s) then I can make them moderators on the respective area too.
Thanks.

Re: Hello Hello
Ok so I guess I'll start.
I'm Dan as most of you know,
I'm first year.
I often prefer the short story stuff and poetry but would like an attempt at the scriptwriting and non-fiction just to see how I get on.
I'm 18.
My MSN and AIM are both on here if you need to get in contact.
Some of my favourite authors now I'm home and can think about it are:
Terry Pratchett,
David Gemell,
Terry Goodkind,
and Dan Brown.
I guess if I think of anymore I'll add it.

Re: Hello Hello
Hi
I'm Mark, and I'm 3rd year.
I love prose both short and novel, film script and anything to with comics.
I have a thirty-five-year-old body and an eighteen-year-old mind/outlook.
I love horror and science fiction, but I'll read anything except romance, historical saga, and fantasy.
Fave authors include:
Clive Barker (early works only)
Stephen King (early works only)
Philip k. ****
Stephen Hunter
Chuck Palanhuck (it's spelt wrong so slap me later)
Kurt Vonnegut (but not all his works - Slaughterhouse Five is his best)
but not Dan Brown... I read The Da Vinci Code, promised myself I would never read another Dan Brown novel, jumped straight into Deception Point and again promised never to read another Dan Brown novel. I'm definitely sticking to it this time, but hey, he's got a far bigger bank account than me, so my hat's off to him regardless...
I'll add others later...
My Final Major Project, it may surprise you to learn, is a science fiction/horror novel along similar lines to Wyndam's The Day of the Triffids. If you've ever read this novel, I'm sure you'll agree that it needs updating...

Re: Hello Hello
I'm not using a forum name, I'm Amber!
Like Mark I'm also a third year. Currently I'm checking out new music magazines in the hope that they're desperate enough to accept my reviews.
For my final project I'm doing a non-fiction book upon interesting religions.
I've got five now: Wicca, Mormon, Amish, Plymouth Brethren and Kabbalah (yes that well-known, hip religion that Britney Spears, Madonna, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are "into" ).

What did you think to Sin City then, Mark?

Re: Hello Hello
Miller was the priest, did you spot him? Yeah of course I loved it, I've even conned MVC into giving me all their Sin City posters when they're finished with them. I think all actors did a terrific job. Tarrantino guest directed the scene with Dwight and dead Jackie Boy in the car. My favourite character though was Miho - what an ace performance for a part with no lines.
To get an avatar you go to your control panel and click on change miscellaneous settings, put the url to your 60x60 pixel pic in the first box. I hope I explained that okay.

Re: Hello Hello
Yeah, Miho's a babe, & you're right, she was great, all the cast were. I spotted Miller, and Tarantino does a lot of guest directing, but he's best pals with Rodriguez, who guest directed a scene or two in Kill Bill...
Okay, I get how to put in the url, but does that mean I have to have a photo uploaded on the web somewhere? Honestly, I'm so dumb sometimes
