Prometheus and Aeolus
Promethean like they played with fire
And Aeolus released his wrath
Destruction from a higher sphere
A warning from the gods?
Elements whisper warnings
Did seeking searching minds and souls
unsettle natural earth.
Eventide and darkness falls
Blackness smothers light
Blind and deaf they forward stroll
Searching, questing, sifting still
ignoring natures elements.
Some outer driving force controls
Passions tethered taut
What do ask of me?
No future you say in this city
What do you ask?
The reaching out and sharing
The caring and the gentleness.
I feel you close yet distant.
Come, seek shelter and solace.
Closeness and peace here awaits
