Merry Christmas everyone.

Christmas

We bought it on credit
Now we’ve over fed it
The Playstation and me
Then it was thee and me
And now, with him, it’s three

Now it’s not just for me
This shiny DVD
And this sparkly TV
For us; me, thee and he
Next to the sparkly tree

Incredibles, inschmedibles; those choc’late
edibles, not good for little teeth, sugar rots
from beneath. Pass them over to me, I can
eat choc’late for three.

More than just thee and me
The old tree, small for three
New one: ‘lectricity
Think it’s time for a pause
Remember Santa Clause

I hope we give him joys
I hope he shares his toys
Race him at Scalextrick
Batteries for the ‘lectric
Thrill him with a light trick

Now we pause for thought after Clause
was sought, and sauce was bought. Now
we start once more, for sprouts galore.
The table’s ready and that sauce is
bready, Santa’s huffed, the bird is stuffed.
Now pass round the cranberry. Cranberry?
No. Thank you. Not for me.
