Out of the Ash
Out of the Ash,
This child is born
With grief and joy
My heart is torn.
Calm in her cradle,
The living lies,
May love and mercy
Unclose her eyes.
This child is sleeping
Her father gone.
Oh God forsaken,
The veil’s still down
For those unborn on 9/11... the fatherless..
