Crispin Glover would have been perfect for the role of The Joker. Yes, he did, which also may be drug related. Then today we have images of Amy Winehouse allegedly smoking crack. What is it with the human condition that people have to take drugs? As somebody who's never taken illegal substances, it really annoys and frustrates me to see people throwing away their lives in this manner.

I was a bit shocked with those images on the front page of THE SUN too, Mark. It's one thing to discuss the topic, but another to show those pictures on the front page of a newspaper! To my mind, that's glamourising drug use; it's like saying to the kids, 'Look: the celebrities take drugs. It's all right, really'.

As a society, we're becoming very lackadaisical about drug use. Thanks to drugs (principally marijuana, which a lot of people seem to think is socially acceptable, and some hallucinogens), my cousin suffered a psychotic break and was sectioned as a paranoid schizophrenic. It frustrates me that a lot of young people (and a lot of middle-aged people, who should know better) don't seem to understand the dangers and the potentially long-term behavioural/psychological effects of drugs like marijuana, which seems to be everywhere nowadays--and nobody bats an eyelid.
