Armchair Thriller: 'Dying Day'. This is a cracking little story from ITV's ARMCHAIR THRILLER strand, with a great central premise (what if you overheard someone plotting your murder but everyone around you thought you were going mad?) and a subtly witty screenplay.

I really miss shows like ARMCHAIR THRILLER.

Jamaica Inn, the 1983 HTV adaptation starring Jane Seymore, Billie Whitelaw and Patrick McGoohan.

Very impressive: there's a little too much emphasis on the romantic subplot, but it's still a fine adaptation of the novel and better than HitchLock's 1939 film adaptation--which is one of the few 'bad' HitchLock movies.

Been re-watching series two of The Wire, and that first episode is just amazing. I can't believe how much they cram into it without it ever feeling rushed or over-loaded. Excellent stuff and the second episode adds to it all brilliantly. As beginnings go it's a good start emoticon
