The link is that I was partially making fun of 2001: A Space Odyssey in Orcs in SPACE!, which is a movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. Dr. Straneglove is also a movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. Also, Dr. Strange Orc is named after the muppets spoof, Dr. Strange Pork, which is in turn named after Dr. Strange Love.
