Harry Potter 6

Despite mixed reviews and fans who go grubbling about every part missed in the book, I for one loved the latest installment to the Harry Potter series. Yes, I have read books 5-7 so I'm not one of those people who take it for granted. I spotted the parts but I was not mad.

SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT. TURN BACK NOW IF YOU WISH NOT TO BE SPOILED. FINAL WARNING

Now then. The movie starts off on a note I don't really like, but it did happen so I guess I can't complain. The imagery comparatively from book to movie was fanominal in all aspects from Slughorn's house to the cave.

The man who played Slughorn did a fairly good job at playing off the paranoid potion's maker he was, holding onto the dear memory Dumbledore seeks. Both child actors for Tom Riddle were a little bland, though I know he was supposed to be scary.

I love the involvement of the kooky Luna, Harry trying to make her feel welcome where she is not.

Then there's Malfoy... Oh little Lucius Malfoy... What an interesting development, him trying to become as evil as his father but failing dramatically like the punk he is.

One of my most hated and most loved Death eaters comes back as her crazy self when attacking the Burrow, Ms. Bellatrix the Insane. What an interesting character from where Snape takes the vow to the final leave of Snape.

All in all though, TOO MUCH ROMANCE. GOD. No one wants to see punk rock Ginny get freaky with Harry and no one wants to see Ron with 3 different women! They could have skipped some of it at least... and given back Harry's detention...

I see that Dumbledore becomes much more attached to Harry in the film, something I never understand because he knows he will die in less than a year's time...

But nonetheless, my favorite scene was the cave of the Horacrux. I gotta hand it to them, the agony on Dumbledore's face and their escape with the fire... Truely marvelous. Just as I had imagined in the book.

On Snape's escape however there were a few things cut out and such but I guess it doesn't matter all too much.

All in all I loved it, can't wait for Deathly Hallows.

By the way, I heard somewhere that they're splitting The Deathly Hallows into two movies. Not sure whether that would be good or bad though, as it could leave the first part with a cliffhanger that will last for too long (even though I've read the book already, but for the people who haven't), but it would also prolong the end of the Harry Potter movies. Then again, J.K Rowling said that in about 15 years time, she'll THINK about writing another one about when he's older or something, so there could be another movie on the way in about 17-18 years (so bloitting long!) time, as it'll take a year or two to write the book, and then they'll have to make the movie which will also take some time.

i saw it, it seemed pretty short to me, and there wasn't a great deal of action in it. and that seems stupid, them splitting deathly hallows into two movies. where did you hear that?

I've only seen/read two of the Harry Pothead movies/books and nothing else. But I've heard the hardcore Harry fangirls freaking out over the fact that the movie did not follow the book.

what i find odd is that the majority of harry potter fan fiction revolves around harry potter and draco malfoy getting it on... really creepy
