Re: WeGame.com Yeah I still use Fraps for now, but WeGame will be coming out with a new client that will record at the same resolution and quality as Fraps, making Fraps obsolete. Not sure when that will happen though.
I can see using Wegame for raid videos, and hacking up mountains for youtube, but other then that, its not really useful for machinima.
I don't see why you see this. It records in HD mode as well, and you can import it to a vid program. Once they fix the wowmodel viewer bug, it'll be perfect...and free.
Re: WeGame.com Yes WeGame has plans to get the thing to work with WoW map and model viewer--it is an easy change to make. I told the guys at the office that we need it and they are working on it at the moment.
We are also working on getting the indicator (the green and red dot in the upper left-hand corner) to remove itself when we start recording so that we don't have a dot in any footage.
We are also working to get the thing to record audio as well as video. That is something we hope to have out in a week or two.
