Tobacco burst was a great color. I remember seeing those when I was looking at new drums in the late 70s ....and also looking at some new company called Drum Workshop. They were four or five years old as a company then and making some nice looking stuff, but did not have much brand recognition yet. I decided ...Im sticking with Rogers when I buy my set, figuring on going new, and really liking those kind of finishes. Not sure DW would be a name in five years. Funny how things worked out. DW is the premier drum producer in the US, and Rogers is no more, 30 years down the road. Tommy, thats a great time capsule you have there.

I actually believe this color is sunburst. It was Fenders most popular selling guitar color. Tobbacco burst was the same thing, but without the red added.

You see A LOT of guitars in sunburst,but not too many drums. Nice to have owned them since new. That explains the pristine condition.
