T Rod, I don't think I have any secrets. I polished the wrap with Novus. No.2 seems to make the most differences, which is what others say as well.
I put the chrome in a bath of Oxalic Acid overnight. Freely available in the UK but more of a problem in the US I understand. A lot of the hardware was beyond help though so took parts off another set.
The English Dyna I got with this set came up well .......

That's tits, Nut Box! Beautiful. I'd love to have that drum, as would any of us yanks. Good on ya!

Re: Rarte English Rogers Tiger Stripe
Nutbox, 62-64 is off for the correct time frame they used that double tom arm and mount. The 67 Dayton catalog shows the newer version. The old one varied a bit in the cluster 3 knobbies either being in a row or in a triangle form. Great story, restoration and rare finish! Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing that. Did I mention I like that finish?!? Peace, Gary

Re: Rarte English Rogers Tiger Stripe
I think it was also known as a "Top Hat."

Re: Rarte English Rogers Tiger Stripe
Thanks guys.
Gary, can't find it in the 67 catalogue on here but you say "Dayton" so probably different. But like TK says found it listed in equipment included with Top Hat set in the 1965 catalogue. Hidden in the picture but listed as "Swivo tom holder 365R" which is the knobby twin tom holder.
So, that makes it contemporary with the drums which is even better.
Gary, have I bought the later version then, with the knobbies being more spread out? (I'm guessing I have, cos the one arranged in a tighter cluster appears to use the earlier shape swivo ball joint.)
Thanks all.

Re: Rarte English Rogers Tiger Stripe
Anything knobby or Swivo should be from 1958 and up. I have to check the catalogs to see when the change was made for the 3 in a row to 3 in a triangle form. The triangle cluster came with my 5pc 20/12/12/16 top hat, early Swivo, purple diamond outfit from the farm many years ago. I don't think the earlier double mount, on a 66/67 set, would be seen as "wrong" because they used up all the stock. Not sure what parts are proper or offered on Rogers from over there...but I do like that set a lot. Great set!
Peace, Gary

Re: Rarte English Rogers Tiger Stripe
Quick update. The twin tom holder arrived this am and it is great. Turned out the seller was our own Magwa! He was very helpful arranging the shipping etc. Thanks to Magwa.
Best thing is that the tom arms exactly match the one that I already have, which means that this is likely the very same type of holder that was originally on the set.
I'll get a proper set of heads before I get it all set up and take more photos. Stand by.............
