New Powertone Red Glitter
Hello All! I just got this Powertone yesterday and I am floored by it's condition. So I posted some pics and if you gurus can eyeball it and tell from these pics if it's real or need more info let me know. I took it apart and cleaned it up and there was no pitting or rust on the chrome. The inside is non-speckled gray but it's shiny. Maybe a 66 or 67? There is no markings on the snare wires. Not even made in China or Taiwan. The wrap is tight, no lifting and perfect bearing edges and snare beds.

Looks to be a beaut! Great score.
Some of the Rogers wires didn't have a name on them, so good chance these are original, since they don't say "Taiwan."

Looks real to me, and the wires look like Rogers.
I have a Dayton Powertone snare with the shiny paint inside: I think they were trying to enhance the sound, like a Dyna with the lacquer inside. I can't think of another reason to go shiny on the snares and still use the flat in the other drums.
