Re: Show Us Your Snares!
Nice drum. Earliest cob or is it steel, you own? New addition? You must have to wait forever for parts to be auctioned on the bay for those. Hows it sound? Do you play these? sry Gary you make me feel like a lil kid askin all these questions. I like.

Re: Show Us Your Snares!
I do not play these oldies. PowerTones sound better. I respect them and their place in Rogers early days. Digging for information on them. There were three different flat top coffin lugs with these older badges that I've come across. Glad you like it.
That dates those internal paper tags to around 1954/55 (Bruce thoughts/correction??) offered as a wood shell Monitor Model in 57E catalog in 8 lug with the old draped badge. Shows the Broadway model with an eagle badge in 57E. There are just a few Rogers snares that I've located with the Union Brand badge that have similar characteristics of an Eagle badge 1955 drum. There must be more out there. Early start up OH models with the older badges and new chrome hardware.

Re: Show Us Your Snares!
Gary, I don't have any info on those early drums. My dating starts at 1956 with Cleveland, OH Holiday tags.

Re: Show Us Your Snares!
Here's my Blue Sparkle Dayton Powertone:
...And my 1968 COB Dyna:
I added this XP10 Dyna in September 2007...
...And Gina was adopted in December...
The Blue-Eyed Girl showed up on our doorstep in February 2008...
...And Stew McGoo's significant other just recently got a good scrubbing and had her lugs rebuilt in March...
I guess this makes me a snare drum polygamist.

Re: Show Us Your Snares!
My Rogers collection. Recover Powertone Blue White Pearl, COB Powertone, Keller Dyna, Koa Dyna, Superten.
Other picture of my real Koa Dyna and Koa Powertone clone made from a concert tom shell. Have another Holiday shell that's going to end up as Red Strata soon.
