hmmmm... drill or not drill...

I'll go for the collars for now. And one day maybe the knobbies.
So I just have to drill 2 side holes to place a knobby? That fits?

Don't recommend drilling - especially on a 14. Down goes the value. Also, if the two hole spacing doesn't fit the "new" mount, then you will have enlarged holes and have further destroyed value of the drum.

If you really want the other mounts, sell / trade this one and get another.

I will not comment on the spacing.

Drilling is not needed, dont do it.

Keep the sta tights.

Statite brackets were popular with some drummers because they did not require a key to set up the floor tom at a gig.

I just played a gig last night with a kit having Swivo legs on the floor tom, and I could see where it could get a little tiring dealing with them after a while, for some drummers at least.

Not much of a price difference, just a personal preference for some guys back then.

Please don't modify that floor tom: the hole spacing that's already there is not the same as the Swivo brackets.

So I tried fitting a floor tom knobby, and it fits in the vertical holes! So if ever I wished to install them, I'd just have to drill the left&right ones. No wasted unused holes, that means...

still don't drill. put on the other leg holders with 2 bolts. don't add holes to the shell or it will be devalued forever.
