Superten tuning
I am having difficulty in tuning my S10.
I am getting a pronounced ring that gets much more pronounced as I strike outwards from the center of the snare. The original Rogers reso head is on the drum with a Remo Ambassador coated batter....both heads are tensioned on the tight side and tuning lower is not helping. any ideas out there /

Re: Superten tuning
Diplomat or ambassador coated on top, two turns past finger tight.
Ambassador SNARE side head on the resonant. Two and a half turns past finger tight.

Re: Superten tuning
once I set it up with the kit it sounded great...the only issue is the snares were buzzing bigtime when on the toms....I loosened the rods at each end of the snare side which helped alot..
Taking this baby out on Saturday with the TSB's I picked up a few months ago for a showcase at The Bitter End......this will be one kick butt looking kit,,,,,I'll try to get some pics and post ....

Re: Superten tuning
Hate to hijack, but Johnsrogers, what band are you playing with at the Bitter End Sat. I might come and check you and your TSB's out.
Well I was browsing and found it. The Vintage 6. I'm hoping to make it there.
Cheers,Ed

Re: Superten tuning
Big E bring your camera to get some pics of John's sexy laquered drum goodness! My 8" superten looked tasty behind my Londoner V TS kit so I know his will look sweet as well! Can't wait to see pics! The laquered XP10 drums are the perfect thing to make your TS Bling!
