Prayer request
I am starting this thread because I know the power of prayers and vibes can help us all at times. I am asking if my friends here can spare a few minutes to pray for someone who is my whole life. I had some very bad news 4 months ago and due to the shock of the situation and not wanting to spoil the thrill of Mark's return after his previous injury, I didn't want to create any negativity here so I have remained silent about it, and I have found it hard to come here, so that's why you haven't seen me post as often as I used to.
Late November my husband fainted. I had been trying to get him to go have a check up for several years with no luck. When he fainted I insisted that was it, he must go and get a thorough check up. He had not been sick or showing any symptoms, just fainted with no warning. We later decided it was due to not eating lunch or breakfast, and helping a friend on his farm.
The doctor ordered tests and found his red blood cell count was down from what should be around 150-160 to 95. The doctor ordered CAT scans and x-rays. It showed he had a several masses in the area of his bowel and liver. He also had a colonoscopy and they found a tumour the size of a cricket ball in his large bowel. It was a cancer tumour. Due to the risk he was taking that it might block his large bowel they decided to operate and removed half of his large bowel. They said that they had removed around 4 feet of bowel and around 7 tumour's, but there were more that were secondary cancer in his liver. So he is having chemo for the liver cancer.
He had 2 lots, once every 3 weeks, when a week before his 3rd lot was due, he became so sick with diarrhoea and vomiting for 5 days, that we took him to hospital, he has lost such a lot of weight. Anyway they put him on a drip and kept him there for 2 weeks, he has been home for a week and due to continue the chemo this Monday. He is meant to have 4 sessions then more CAT scans to check his progress.
It has all been a terrible shock to him and our family. But we are all getting on with our normal lives as best we can. Allen has continued to be positive and is determined to fight this no matter what. Please pray for him or send vibes to help him in this fight. Thanks in advance.
Anne.

Re: Prayer request
Oh Anne, I cannot imagine the rollercoaster of emotions you and family are going through right now! My father passed away from cancer, I know it's very hard to watch someone you love go through pain like that. I know you both will keep your spirits high and your faith strong.
My deepest love and prayers to you, Allen and your family through this difficult time.

Re: Prayer request
Thank you Clair and Christina. Now I have given my reason for not being around much, I will try to keep in touch more often.

Re: Prayer request
You and your family are in my thoughts, Anne. Much can be said for the advances of medical science, but even more for the power of healing thoughts. You have many friends here and we're all sending our love.

Re: Prayer request
There´s not much to say except to tell you that you and your husband are in my thoughts as you go through this difficult time. May your spirits remain up despite everything and may love carry you through this.
Please keep us posted as much as your spirits allow.
