Thank you to each one of you. Nina, Corina, Diana, Patty, Val, Marce and Lurker, your kind words, prayers and vibes are a comfort.
Allen has been taken off his medication for a few weeks, the chemo has caused the skin to peel from his feet and hands, so even though they had already dropped the dose due to him becoming very ill and weak, they have decided to stopp it for a couple of weeks. We hope that helps him become stronger and doesn't set him back too far with the effects of the chemo.

Sorry about the setback Anne, but it's certainly sensible for him to build some strength up before they re-start his chemo.

I've been away & there's nothing new on this thread, so hope Allen is improving, if slowly.
We went to severalchurches on our trip & you were in my thoughts whenever I said prayers in them.

Thanks OSL, and thanks Diana for the prayers. I think they might be helping this week. Last week when he went in to have his chemo. His platlet count was too low, so they wouldn't give it to him. This week it was still low, but at a level where he could just qualify to have it. They cut the dose by 50%, the tablets he takes for 2 weeks also have been cut down in quantity. He had his chemo last Monday, and so far he seems to have no severe side effects.
We think he will have his CAT scan in around 3 weeks to see what the result of the chemo has been. I am keeping everything crossed so the tumours have shrunk and not grown.

Good to hear something positive, even if it is only just a v. little bit, but if there've been no serious side effectsthis time Allen must be feeling a bit better himself.
We just keep our prayers going.
