My cats

emoticon Just thought I would update you all as I had many good wishes on here when 2 of my 5 cats were diagnosed with cancer. My ginger and white cat had subcutaneous fibrosarcoma diagnosed in June 06, and she survived until June this year when I had to have her put to sleep at 7 years of age. Very sad. My older cat - a long hair tabby, also a girl - was diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of 14, 2 years ago. She was an amazing little fighter; she had 2 years of chemotherapy and pills every other day, lost all her fur/grew back/lost it again, but she was still out trying to catch rats right up til last month. Suddenly she started to go down hill, and on Friday she finally gave me the signal that she had had enough, and I took her to the vets and had her put to sleep. It was a gallant fight and she handled it so well. I will miss them both so much.

I have got a new "little girl" - another female cat, long hair but tortoise-shell, aged 7 - from the RSPCA in June; she is a firecracker and keeps the boys in check. emoticon

Pets are such a wonderful gift, it is hard when you have to say goodbye to them.

Hi Jay

I read your post back in October and meant to reply. That's when my pc packed up on me. I completely forgot after that!

Sorry to hear you lost your pet. She was a real fighter though!

I've adopted two dogs in the past few weeks, Molly and Milo, a real handful emoticon Good Luck with your new cat.

They will never replace my sweet Harry, he has a big portion of my heart that will never be filled.

Val
