Round 2 - Post Match Interview (some quotes)
Unfortunately, it's only a few quotes from Mark's post match interview.
Philippoussis made an encouraging return to form after two-and-a-half injury-impaired years by reaching the third round at Queen's and disposing of No.32 seed Paul-Henri Mathieu in Wimbledon's opening round.
Now he will turn his attention to other tournaments - most likely Challenger events in America - as he bids to push his ranking from 210th to inside the top 100.
"I'm happy, obviously I'm disappointed at the result, but I've got to look at the bigger picture - I'm healthy, I feel like I'm back, and now I've just got to go out there and play as many tournaments as I can," Philippoussis said.
"This is no time to be fussy, it's just a time to get out there and, no matter what tournament it is, just go out there and play it."
Philippoussis did not rule out representing Australia in Davis Cup if called upon.
"When that time comes, then it comes, I'll deal with that, but I'm looking forward to playing no matter what it is," he said.
"My mind's in the right place, my heart's in the right place, and I'm just enjoying it again."
--- "Nothing in life is easy. You have to fight. It is just another set back... One thing I know is that I’m going to take care of it and go again. It’s the only thing that I can do. It’s the only thing I want to do. " - Mark

Beautiful comments from mark. He knows what he's got to do and by the sounds of things hes ready to step up and play heaps of challengers/small tournaments.
Hope mark can play the challenger next week.

Re: Round 2 - Post Match Interview (some quotes)
I hope he really does feel this way; that's exactly the right attitude. He can pick up loads of points this summer. I hope he comes to Indianapolis as I am going there July 17. Blake and Rod**** are supposed to be there too. Grosjean and Haas have come in the past.

Re: Round 2 - Post Match Interview (some quotes)
A few more comments found in another article
"This is no time to be fussy," the Victorian said. "No matter what tournament it is, just go out there and play it.
"I'm happy, obviously I'm disappointed with the result. But if I look at the bigger picture, I'm healthy, I feel like I'm back.
"Now I have to go out there and play as many tournaments as I can. That's all I can do. I've got to sit down with the agent and see what's out there. I'm sure there's a whole bunch of Challengers in America."
Philippoussis hit 66 winners, 26 aces and made only 24 unforced errors against the 53rd-ranked Mirnyi, a day after toppling 32nd seed Paul-Henri Mathieu.
He should have won the first set yesterday after holding two points on his own serve at 5-4 in the tiebreak.
"That first set was huge, 5-4 serving (in the tiebreak), I definitely let a big opportunity slip from my hands," Philippoussis said.
"He had momentum going his way, and he's one of those guys who's a frontrunner and his confidence grew."
Philippoussis will discuss his future with agent Carlos Fleming, coach Peter McNamara and his father Nick before drawing up plans to reclaim a double-digit ranking.
"The only thing that I set for myself is to finish in the top 100 and I know that I am capable of a lot more," he said.
"The good thing about my ranking -- if there is a good thing -- you win matches, you definitely move up really quickly.
"I'm positive that I'll be in the main draw starting the year, summer circuit in Australia."
--- "Nothing in life is easy. You have to fight. It is just another set back... One thing I know is that I’m going to take care of it and go again. It’s the only thing that I can do. It’s the only thing I want to do. " - Mark

I love some of those quotes
"My mind's in the right place, my heart's in the right place, and I'm just enjoying it again."
especially that one. i know it was a heartbreaking loss for us but I'm confident we're going to be seeing a lot more of mark again very soon

Re: Round 2 - Post Match Interview (some quotes)
The Australian season would definately be something to work on. I think that is a realistic goal for Mark, as it gives him time to work on his ranking. I was very impressed with the fitness level considering he hasn't played many matches.
I was so heartbroken at the loss yes.......but the comments he has made have brightened my day, nice and positive. He has played much better than the same time last year in my opinion, I think his confidence is a little better. Still not enough fire in the eyes but I'm sure that will grow. Maybe by September he would be confident enough to play Davis Cup. I would love to see him play......
Hope to see you soon Mark................

Re: Round 2 - Post Match Interview (some quotes)
I am so upset by Mark's loss that i completely ignored wimbledon since wednesday. Won't be watching mirnyi v blake either. I just hate wimbledon once mark is out. Its like so different and the thought that he could have actually won the match doesn't help. If he had lost to federer the way Tim did, i would have accepted it. I keep thinking about that 1st set he should have won and the number of break points he had. The thing that irritates me most is that Mark did not have a very tough draw. Anyway its not Mark's fault and i know he gave his all especially since playing twice in 2 days at a grand slam event doesn't help and also mark tends to struggle against big servers. But anyways no point dwelling on the past and i should just look positively to the american summer.
And looking at the comments he made about his loss and how he was not gonna be fussy bout tournaments and just play shows that he probably had enough of how things were going the past 2 yrs and it is really time to do something about it. And with peter mcnamara back with him, i am absolutely sure we will get mark back to his best by next year.

Great to see he´s got the right attitude. And especially thrilled that he hasn´t ruled out DC. I already have tickets to see the Septembre tie and it would be a dream come true to see Mark play live for once, especially since it might be my one and only chance ever to do it. We´ll see, but it is a nice dream and it would mean that Mark is back to his form... even if that means our boys have to struggle more to win the tie!!! hahaa
