Scud vs Nadal {{join us in the chat room now!!!}}

Hello everyone! I am a new poster here! I have been
reading it for a while and I have to say I respect and
admire the attitude you have here! : )

How about this now: Scud vs Nadal. For me: the
good news is that they propably will show the match
in Sweden (they only show matches with the highest
seeds, and obviously, Nadal is up there). The bad news -
hmm. Im not sure. Im just a little worried about Nadals
defense skills. We all know it by now - you have to hit
at least one more "winner" against him. Mark has got
the tools of course, but how is he gonna play? Lets
hope he is fit and ready by the time!

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news this morning but I guess it was a long time coming for Mark to get an extremely difficult 1st round match in a slam.

Good news is it will be a centre court match and Mark loves that! It may even be the feature night match.

It's going to be tough against Nadal, his is young and fit and plays an enduring game with some trick shots.

I hope that Mark is completely fit and healthy for this match as he does have the game to cause an upset here emoticon

I am still not sure how to feel about the draw.

Mark really needs to put it out there but I truly believe he can win this match if he is in the right state of mind. Mix it up serve and volley, chip and charge. Be positive and stay focussed.

does that mean you're swedish?!!!! VERY COOL!!!! emoticon Most people around here know me as a *bit* of a freak when it comes to the swedish tennis players.... heheheheh emoticon

about the match - i heard it on the radio on the way to the doctor this morning, and ihad to get online tonight to see if it was true or if i was just having a nighmare in the car.. emoticon
i suppose it's better than federer... maybe?

Tough task for Mark 1st up.

I hope Mark is 100% healthy and fit. ++++++++++++++++++++++++

I would have liked more matches for Mark to have rebuilt his game before a pressure game like this as he was really showing lots of positive signs.

Nadal will be the favourite and expected to win, so if Mark can keep the nerves away and come out firing and serving strong and applying pressure then he has the weapons to take the game away from Nadal.

As Marcia said in a previous post, Nadal has trouble with Berdych who has a similar power game to Mark.

Can't believe that I'll miss this match though.

Welcome to Scud Zone Teiresias. I hope you do get to see Mark's match against Nadal. It is a tough first draw but Mark in my opinion does well with a best of 5 match. I guess being Nadal it will be on the main court. Does anyone know?

especially since he will most likely be playing on centre court, with many people around the world watching the match!!!

plus.... i always thought Mark played better with short hair (a.k.a Wimbledon 2003, and the davis cup)!!

HAHAHA I SO AGREE!! I will be very disappointed if he turns up looking like a scruff. It's definately time for a haircut... if not he better brush it nicely and put his bandana on properly. Nadal and Federer always are looking good and clean cut for their matches. I think short hair is best for mark, he doesnt have to do anything to make it look good.

Like you said, the match will be watched world wide by millions of people - it will be up to Alexis to make sure her man looks decent! emoticon emoticon

are you serious about this???? he needs to focus on his tennis not his hair.
you sound like a mom saying make sure there's no holes in your underwear
He's a grown man, i'm sure he will cut his hair when/if he wants to
