Congratulations to Roger Federer on his 3rd consecutive US Open and 9th major title!
As usual, he played at a level no one can match when he had to. It was good to see Andy play well for much of the match, and that he's improved several elements of his game a lot. I think he can continue to improve. But I have believed for several years that Roger is the best player ever and today's match just adds more evidence.
Congratulations also to all of winners of the other titles!
I hope Tiger Woods had fun watching the match and that Andy wasn't too upset that Tiger was there as Roger's guest .
Meanwhile, I hope Mark's training and preparation is going well.++++++++++++

Re: NOW: 2006 US OPEN (Wednesday OOP, MARK 1st on Arthur Ashe!)
Incredible match from Roger Federer today. Without doubt the most talented player in history. I was very impressed with the improvements Ro**** has made over the past couple months. Seem's the new coach has had a huge impact and andy now seems a lot smarter on court. I think an interesting comment today was about roger's fitness. I cant remember which aussie commentator said it - but u could tell rod**** was putting in 110% and at the end looked tired, but then u glance at roger who's putting in the same effort but hardly broke a sweat.
The best thing for mark was the match-up with nadal..because its more clear then ever before Mark's fitness still needs to go up a few notches. He needs to be fit enough to stay in rallies, when needed. I do hope he is using this break between now and davis cup to get strong and lean up a little more. There were plenty of positive signs from his match, but also heaps of things to improve.
go mark!!
