woo hoo I got my tickets!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excitied I purchased my tickets today for 2008! 
Regardless if Mark is playing i am so happy to finally be going to melbourne and watching it live!
anyone else planning on going?

I am hoping to go. I have booked accommodation (but it can be canceled 24 hrs before the actual date) but not sure i can really afford it - spent a *little* more in Sweden than I thought I would 
I would really love to come though - missing it this year was the first time since 2000 I haven't been. Despite going to Wimbledon instead, I was having mega withdrawals in January hehe.
So you've bought some Rod Laver series tickets? I usually just get ground passes.. Rod Laver tix are too expensive and the only person you're guaranteed to see is Hewitt. Then if Mark is there, I line up on the day and try to get in.
If you haven't booked your flights/accom yet, I would also recommend going to the qualifying event. this is Thursday 10th, Friday 11th and sat 12th. you get free admission into the grounds and you get to see HEAPS of the big-name players practicing, without thousands of people going crazy. Some of the matches at qualifying are actually pretty great to watch too!

I'm going with my mum for the first 5 days (jan14-18)... would've liked to have gone to qualifying but we are booked - I will remember that next time though!
We got pretty good Rod Laver seats, yes they are expensive - but it's our 1st time so we don't mind. Hopefully we will see a hewitt match, but im pretty sure we should see federer and nadal or rod**** if they are healthy.
Hard to say if Mark is playing wether they'll put him back on rod laver... they should, but i dont trust TA.. they might stick him on Vodafone - if so I will chuck a massive fit!
