May I know the exact figures on the acreage of Genetically Modified Cotton in the U.S. and how many crops have been commercialised till date.

Dear Shastrypp,
The United States adoption of genetically engineered cotton has rapidly increased. Adoption of all GE cotton, taking into account the acreage with either or both HT (herbicide tolerant) and Bt (bacillus thuringiensis) traits, reached 83 percent in 2006.
