Check out my first Flash game!
First of all, note that my website's moved. The old URL now redirects to the new one, but my site is now at http://theryusui.110mb.com.
That said, I've completed my first-ever Flash game and uploaded it to a brand-new section of my site, the "Watercrown Productions Arcade". Check it out!
It's called "Hyper Collider". You dodge asteroids with the mouse and get bonus points for collecting the Skill Points that appear in dangerous spots. Collect enough and you can fire a Power Shot that destroys asteroids. There's more detailed instructions in the game itself; you can also submit your score to the leaderboards and see how well you did compared to everyone else who's ever played the game...ever.

Congratulations Ryusui!  You should be very proud of yourself. I know it couldn't have been a very easy thing to do. How long did it take you from start to finish? I personally am not computer literate enough to accomplish something like that. Shoot, I can't even make a website. LOL

I started on June 4th, so...two-and-a-half weeks. I suspect my turnaround time will grow shorter with practice, though.
My next idea for a project is a tower defense game with an action element. :3

I think I will have to share this with my son. I am game phobic and still remember large machines in the local fish and chip shop with space invaders and pac man, these machines were always surrounded with groups of loud pushy kids (a lot like my son) and it kinda put me off.
Having said this well done, it is always so satisfying to complete a project successfully

You should still give it a try. I showed it to someone I know who won't touch video games and she ended up trying for the high score. ^_^

My next project - I'm still ambivalent on a name - is something of an action/strategy hybrid, a Tower Defense game where the player is an active participant in the battle that's going on.
Instead of sitting back and letting the little creeps break one by one on your impenetrable defenses, you're there on the front lines fighting back, supported by the turrets you build. It's more concept than implementation thus far, but the idea seems sound...
