  I just entered my granddaughter, Samantha, in an online Baby Photo Contest. I would really appreciate it if I could get you to cast a vote for her picture. If her photo is chosen as the month's winner she will receive $2500.00. The link for her photo is as follows:

I can't believe that you all weren't allowed to vote for Samantha because you don't live in the US. That really makes me mad! emoticon Why should they care? What about the people who entered their child in the contest who have family living in other countries? My son, Samantha's Uncle, is stationed in Japan. I was counting on him to vote for her. Her Daddy is in Kuwait. This isn't right.

Anyway, I think I may have a solution to the problem. emoticon Would it be cheating, if you all used your First and Last names and your E-mail addresses and my Home Address and Telephone Number to register? I mean really....who is actually going to question it? I could very easily be sharing a house with a multitude of people. We could even be a Commune. emoticon

I am really upset about this. I know so many people who are not residents of the US and now I find out that they can't vote. I really appreciate you all trying and if you are still interested in voting I am serious about letting you use my address and phone number. Just send me a Private message on here and I will give you the information.

I tried too but it wouldn't let me. After all, it is the "Great AMERICAN Baby Contest". I hate to say it, but America can be a pretty closed society. That may be true of all countries, though, and not just an American phenomenon. Boards like this defy nationality, thank goodness, which may give everyone a false sense of international sister- and brotherhood. I love that I can meet people from all over the world because of my hobbies. Good luck to Samantha emoticon

Aw Julia, you have this great group of people that would love to vote for your granddaughter and they can't. Just know that they support you in heart.
