Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
I would like to participate as well so you can count me in. I live in Florida. However, I am still healing from my surgery so I am unable to get out to do anything right now so I need a few people to go ahead of me before the Traveling Sylvanian is sent to me. I am planning a road trip to Virginia around the 8th of August so it would be cool to have the little one to take with me if at all possible.

Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
Some time ago I had a friend overseas do this. In fact it was a little more complicated. A certain fellow 'kidnapped' his wife's Mr Potatohead. Or is it 'potato-napped'.
He then sent it around the world and worse still had people sending anonymous reports on 'sightings'. I remember I was in Oz at the time and faxed a Wanted Poster featuring her beloved character to her office. Apparently he had decided to do a 'Ned Kelly' and got into trouble with the local authorities. It was a very popular jape at the time.

Might I suggest Aster Dandelion?

Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
Hi all,
Well i am still interviewing for the position of Travelling Sylvanian, but as i have had to go away from home this week i have had to put the sending on hold until next week.
I do really like the idea of using Aster Dandelion, but after thinking about the possibility of her getting lost, i would also have to acquire a replacement for my collection.Maybe someone could help me out by sending me another at some stage.
Anyway as soon as the SF is ready i will post a pic as requested.

Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
I would go with an aged figure that is not critical to your collection. Maybe a duplicate. I dont have rabbits so I am sorry I cant help you with a replacement.

Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
I agree with Shauna. I would not suggest sending any figure that is not easily replaced. Anything could happen to the little Traveling Sylvanian while in transit. So it really is best to air on the side of caution.
I am really excited about doing this and shock upon shock my husband actually thinks it is a really cool idea as well. Most of the time he could care less about my collection.

BTW: Where do I send my address?

Re: The Travelling Sylvanian
Yes, a more common Sylvanian will be a good idea. And maybe a Sylvanian with darker color fur that doesn't show dirt easily. I can imagine after passing many hands that it will become grimy.
