A Wildwood Rabbit Sister might be a good choice. It fit's all the criteria...easily replaced, dark in color, and a very high score for cuteness. emoticon

I'd be really up for this. So as the Sylvanian travels the world, we should all add a very small object, item, picture, poem or anything from our lives which the said Sylvanian can take back "home" from their travels. That way we can learn something about each other. I remember doing friendship books via penpals and by the time I'd got it there had been over a hundred people write a page in it, or maybe we could do that, send a small book with the figure and we each write a page?

I'd be happy to contribute something poetic.

Something that needs to be taken into consideration is the cost of postage. The more items that are added to the package the more it is going to cost to send it to the next person.

very true, especially if your leg is overseas.
perhaps its best to go with the idea of just the figure and a small book to write something in, beit poetry or whatever. Isnt the main point the pics and they could be uploaded of course.

I'm thinking I'd like to send a figure on a journey, too emoticon Maybe anyone who wants to send a figure can do it! That way, we'd all have the opportunity to have a well travelled Sylvanian come home to us. Sylvanians would be criss-crossing the world emoticon

I've got doubles of a few families, such as the Reindeer and Otter families. For me, sending a mother and daughter on the trip would be way cool because I never had the chance to travel with my daughter due to a life-long illness.

If Charissa is going to be away until next week, I'd be willing to gather names and addresses in her absence so we can get the ball rolling. Everyone can PM me with their:

- full name
- full address
- board "handle"
- email address
- and indicate if you also want to send a Sylvanian on a journey.

Charissa, is this okay with you? I don't want to take anything away from you because it was your great idea to begin with emoticon

Beverly,

I don't know about everybody else, but I think one figure for now is all that I could handle coming to visit. I would have no qualms, later, after the first figure made it's rounds to play hostess to other figures. It's just that too many at once kind of takes the novelty away in my opinion. Also, I would like to be able to give each figure that arrives at my house my undivided attention.

Wow, Beverly, imagine a lot of Sylvanians crisscrossing the world! Sounds great but I would prefer to follow the path of just one Sylvanian that we can track on the thread. It's more exciting to anticipate the arrival of a visitor.

Let's see what happens with this journey first before we start sending Sylvanians across the world. Just my honest opinion but Charissa has the final decision since it was her idea in the first place. emoticon

Little safety recommendation: you should also put a copy of the next address inside the box, just in case something happens in transit. Maybe a little note folded up and tucked somewhere on the Sylvanian itself.

Yeah, I'm paranoid like that, but then I'm fairly sure every time I've sent a game console in for repairs I've been asked to include a return address in the package proper. So it's experience talking.
