American Girl Dolls

Im an avid doll collecter but I have chosen to go mostly into American girl. My husband is from NY and I get to go to the American girl store every trip and bring home 1 doll! This year I hope its Kaya, However my main collection is around Felicity (love her clothes) I have the Original Felicity pre-mattel. I have 9 full size dolls Felicity, Elizabeth, Kirsten, Nellie, Josephina, Kailey, Marisol, Jess, and Nikki. I also have Baby polly and the AGT baby sister. I have all of the girls of many lands save for Kathleen wich I hope to aquire in the future.

I love putting up holiday displays with all the girls in summer outfits or christmas outfits with mini xmas trees and lights! I hope one day also to Aquire Lindsey, However she has jumped out of my price range currently emoticon

Anyways, if anyone collects them and wants to talk send me a msg. emoticon

Tiffany

Hi Tiffany, I had one Am. Girl (Nellie) not long ago but unfortunately got bored with her. They are indeed very cute dolls and I can only imagine how pretty your displays must be if you have 9 of them. My interest in AG started with the clothes I saw on eBay and I had to have one Am. Girl so that she could wear those cute outfits. I did spoil her and she stayed with me for over a year. My favorite though is Hopscotch Hill. I have Gwen and gosh, do I like this little one. Here is a pic of her:

I will take a picture of my TV Stand top tonight, I dont have any though of my Christmas display :x. I really liked the Hopscotch Kids but they got discountinued pretty fast, I was saving for my wedding at the time and had stopped buying American Girl Items when they discontinued them, So now its going to have to be Ebay wich is kinda disapointing since they got really expensive, at least there arent many of them.

Re: American Girl Dolls

According to the official website they are 18 inches. Mine look a little taller because I have all of them on stands with 1/2 inch thick wood bases. I will be getting another doll for this collection in 2 weeks when I go to NY to visit my husbands family. I most likely will bring home Kaya, shes a native american doll, very pretty with a unique head mold for an american girl doll. I want more of the ethnic dolls in my collection so im hoping to get Addy next year, shes african american. I wish they would come out with an Asian story doll.

In case your wondering Im a Blonde white girl but when all your dolls look the same it gets boring!

I'm sure I saw these dolls when I went to NY last year. Do they sell them in FAO Schwartz?
