Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
Wow! Those are great. I like how each room has so many details with the wallpaper and flooring. I've put wallpaper in a few of my houses and it takes awhile but in the end is worth all the work.

I have been looking for some wallpaper, but I don't know where to get it. Where did you get yours?
Thanks,
Courtney

Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
You can get it from most Doll house and minitures shops. Ebay is a great pleace to get cheap wall paper. Just type in the search 'doll house wall paper' or 'doll house carpet', what ever you are looking for. Just remember to check feedback of the seller before purchasing!

Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
Just to let you know I still have the templates for the rooms so I'm going to start selling wallpaper packs for individual rooms for Oakwood manor on ebay. If anyone wants to place an order PM me and we can bypass ebay and talk about patterns.

Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
Hi again everyone, thanks for coming back to check on the progress of Oakwood Manor.
Finally the flooring and tiles turned up. Yay! So I spent the day sticking my fingers together and covering the floor with shreds of paper and plastic, and this is the end result.....
The Bathroom flooring was quite difficult to cut as it kept slipping from under the ruler and the craft knife needed a new blade, but it's finally finished!
I was a bit worried that it would be too much red and too busy with it only being a small room, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I just need to find a couple of bits to put on the white parts of the wall, like a kitchen clock or a picture, something suitable for a kitchen
All I need to do to the house now is a few finishing touches and to put some more lights in and then it's finished! Let me know what you think to the new additions.

Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
Thanks guys!
I think I'm going to cover the plastic edges with carpet in all the room like I did with the bathroom and the kitchen. I don't like how you can still see the colour of the original floor. I'll post more pictures when I've done that.

Re: My first Sylvanian House.....lots of pics
Hi again,
I've finished all the little touches I wanted to do. I just added flooring to the edges of the levels to hide the plastic, I think it looks much better now. I've still to get more lights and I want to take away the chandelier because it's too big and just not for Oakwood. But I have to wait until christmas to get more lights.
Here is a full view of the side of the house...
I also made a garden for the family.....
Here are a couple of close ups. Here is the Nanny and the children....
And here are the cottontail grandparents that I got when I joined the UK club, they are enjoying the nice weather over a cup of tea...
