Welcome to the Gallery - Read This First!

Due to popular demand, the SFCCE R:2 now has a dedicated subforum for posting pictures.

It's under "Other Stuff" as opposed to "Sylvanian Families & Calico Critters", so you're not limited to just Sylvanian pics: wanna post a photo of your favorite pet or other collectibles, or maybe some artwork you've done? Go right ahead!

To post pictures, you'll first need to upload them to some webspace. Maybe you got some webspace free with your Internet service, or perhaps you'd prefer to use an image hosting site like Photobucket or Imageshack; as long as it's on the 'Net and not on your hard drive, you should have no issues posting your pictures.

Once you have a link to your picture, you have three options.

1. Just post the link. Runboard will automatically wrap the URL in the appropriate tags (as long as you have "Automatically convert http:// links?" checked), making a clickable link.

Example: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7311/rolleybr6.png

2. Post a link with a custom caption. Instead of just wrapping the link with URL tags, you'll put the URL in the leading tag and your text in between the tags. It should look like {url=http://my-image-site/my-album/my-picture.png}Check out my picture!{/url}, but with [straight brackets] instead of {curly ones}.

Example: Say hello to Rolley ****er! Isn't she adorable?

3. Post your image in-line. Instead of URL tags, you'll wrap the URL in IMG tags: it'll look like {img}http://my-image-site/my-album/my-picture.png{/img} (but again, [straight brackets] instead of {curly ones}).

Example:

(And yes, I'm well aware Rolley is from Palm Town and not Sylvanian Families...but that doesn't change the fact that she's freakin' priceless. ^_^)

Enjoy.

Just trying this out as an absolute beginner at posting photos. I will get better at it as I follow the instructions more carefully. Here is a photo of the Wine and Cheese Shop I oragnised for my Sylvanians!

Hope the link works! Enjoy!

KD.

Yeah! Nah! It didn't work but see my shops further down . . . I did get it to work eventually! Duh!

It's not a complete image link. Make sure you hit Preview before you post, just to make sure you've got everything put together correctly.
