Pettyfur's Pizza - another project requested by dd
When the pizza set arrived in the mail the first thing dd noticed was Peter Pettyfur working behind the counter on the box. Since the guinea pigs are her favorite family (they get to live in the big house AND own the traveling camper, lol) she decided that pizza would be Peter's business, and he needed a commercial location for this venture.
So, this is what we got.
I sure hope she stops coming up with projects soon...I'm falling behind!

I just love it!!! You are so clever it just makes me itch at the thought of getting into my collection and setting things up.
Your daughter is so lucky to have such a creative Mum!

The brick is actually mini bricks on a mesh sheet - a doll house miniature item. When you use it, you're supposed to fill all the cracks with this mixture - sort of like concrete for doll driveways I suppose.
We'll fill it in with that stuff once it has a permanent home...for now we move it around depending on what dd is playing with.

FABULOUS!!! I love the brick work. Your scene looks so realistic! They look like they are all going to spring to life and start a conversation any minute.
Here as a pale comparison are a couple of photos of my pizza shop.
The awning, roof palings and signage came as part of a SF club magazine. How could I resist!!! I used an old hospital or florist building.
Here it is in the cabinet that I had three shelves of shops in the size of the old hospital/florist.

Re: Pettyfur's Pizza - another project requested by dd
All4Her,
I have two questions:
1) How did you make the sign for your Pizza Shop?
2) Is there a way to make new awnings for the front of the shops? I have a few older shops that the awnings were either missing or messed up when I bought the buildings. It would be nice to be able to replace them.
Thanks,
Julia
