 Hello From a Daddy trying to keep his 5 year old happy!!
Hi Guys and Girls,
My name is Danny. Im here looking for advice on purchasing Used/secondhand Sylvanian families Figures and Buildings etc.
My Daughter Bridie and her little sister Margaret have just discovered the land of Sylvania.
Its funny really as im 30 and Used to hold sylvanian familes hostage with GI Joe when playing with my cousins as a child.
Anyway Im really happy to have found this forum and I will be asking lots of questions soon enough.
If anyone as any large Lots for sale be sure to PM me.

Welcome to the forums. I'm the forum admin.
I've never owned a Sylvanian in my life, mind you: rather, I got interested because of the Japan-only video games (and a tangential resemblance to Maple Town). I got involved with the community during my fan translation efforts and felt compelled to try and save it when the old forums closed. Hence the big "R:2" in the forum title (a reference to the .hack games).
So. Enjoy your stay; hope you'll try out my fan translations sometime. ^_^

Hi Danny, and welcome to the boards! I think it's funny when you said that you used to hold Sylvanians hostage with G.I Joe. My brother used to do the same but with his He-Man figures. He would capture the Sylvanians and toss them in Skeletor's dungeon while He-Man would be their hero and rescue them. Ah, the good old days of the '80s.

Hi Danny,
I'm a new member too! It's really nice that you're doing this for the little ladies!
I found ebay quite good for picking up a few bits and bobs. Sometimes you can find used stuff fairly cheap on there. You might have to get good with a needle and thread though because a lot of the used figures are in the nip 
I hope that is of some help.
