posticon Hello from the Philippines!

Hello, everyone! I'm a new collector and I am completely bowled over by Sylvanian Families. I first saw the SFs in a department store display in Shizuoka, Japan in the early 90's but held out this long because I had small children at that time. Now that my sons are almost grown men, I've been given free rein to collect and play with impunity. :-)

I'm also a Hello Kitty collector (33 years and counting) and I am building a Hello Kitty Cafe for my Sylvanian Families, as well as a HK room for Shelley Keats, one of my favorite Sylvanians. Hope I get to show them to you when they're done.

Thanks, everyone!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am hard at work (or at play, heehee) with my HK Sylvanian Cafe (I am looking for a Sylvanian-sized HK doll to act as cafe owner) but I hope to get some pictures up in a few days.
I hope I don't get too worked up over small details that I draw out the process unnecessarily.

Just a little explanation on my handle: I've been collecting hello kitty since I was nine and when I had children, everyone just started calling me Kittymama. Okasaneko was supposed to be Okaasaneko, which is a melding of okaasan (mother) and neko (cat), but since people I knew tended to read it as o-ka-a-sa-neko, with emphasis on the a-a, (read separately as ah-ah with the short a sound,I just took away the extra "a" to make it easier on the ears. But for all intents and purposes, it's supposed to mean Kittymama or Mother Cat. Sorry this is too long....
