I really like the clothes. I think the bright colors look great on the black and white cows.

And the father does have horns! I think they are great; well done, Flair!

Buttercups? Aww, but the Calico Crittes cream cats are called the Buttercups, too. I know they're called the Keats in the UK but in the US, they're the Buttercups. And now the UK wedding cream cats are called the Dantes. I wish Flair and IntlPlaythings would work together to create different names. I'm just whining here. emoticon

The other day, I sat down and went over some lists and realized just how horribly screwed-up the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! has been in the U.S.. I don't just mean the bowdlerizations inflicted by 4Kids or Konami's overall translation ineptitude, I'm talking about the fact that reams and reams of famous cards that Japan had from practically the beginning took years to reach the rest of the world.

...But it's things like this that make me feel lucky. Somehow the insane flubs of the past seem like mere trifles compared to the prospect of US and UK versions of the exact same toys having completely different names...and the UK versions are arguably superior. Wouldn't it be nice if some well-meaning company with international clout and enough resources to reestablish the Sylvanian Families trademark in the States snapped up the license from both companies and started releasing the toys in both countries on something approximating the same schedule as Japan?
