It's been awfully quiet here. Has another board been opened and I haven't heard about it?

I think the fact that SFCCE has failed to die when scheduled has everybody a little tense and/or confused.
It's like going to a funeral where the deceased suddenly sits up and delivers his own eulogy...problem is, said eulogy has been a nonstop three-day marathon thus far.

Yeah, it's like hanging around waiting for something that you know is going to happen...like waiting to have a test started that you haven't studied for, you don't want it to happen but you know it's inevitable.

People on the other board are probably in terrible shock to know it is closing down. It would be like part of themselves dying, especially if they've been there for awhile.
I belong to a board dedicated to keeping saltwater aquariums. I've been there for three years and have logged almost 4,000 posts. I would be devastated if it shut down.
It may even take awhile before many of the people on the other board come here due to the loss of their Sylvanian Families "home".
I wish this baord every success!

A lot of the regulars have already signed up. Funny thing is, I've never bought a Sylvanian in my life: I joined the SFCCE so I could get names and information I needed to complete my fan translation of the first (Japan-only) GBC game. (The story of how I got interested in translating that game is a long and bizarre one, which you can find on my website.)
I liked what I saw, so I stayed around and made myself useful. And when Benjamin announced that the SFCCE would be shut down, I took action and signed up for this Runboard.

There's probably a way to check this, but how many member are there now? And approximately how many of them are from the old forums?
The old forum is still there, strangely, but Ben (the runer-person) said he was going to delete it, but it was scheduled to disappear on the 19th of March if I remember correctly, and on the 13 april it is still running!!

We have 17 members thus far; you can find a link to the list near the bottom of the main page.
Most of our members were originally from SFCCE (myself, Snowflake, xaviertigger, Rocky, Angelberries, Aloraal, Peagles, Kirsty, gpwsbeaver and koolkaci86; probably forgetting a couple).

Apart from the ones that did make the transition already, the SFCCE boards were pretty dead in the weeks before and after the announcement. It's not that they don't want to come here; it's that they A. don't know about the SFCCE closure and B. don't know about the R:2 forums.
I just hope Nell Dixon got my message and made the jump...
