Has anyone seen these things?

Hi, I have been looking at the pictures of the new Beauty Salon, is it the same as the JP one? I got that from Pearly a couple of years ago but now I see the new one comes with the Patches Father, are there any other differences?
I would also like to know what the Green Patio Set is like does it look Ok with the plainer UK houses or does it need a fancy building?

I am also hanging out for the older Tomy or JP Epoch Boutique the one with the wedding gown and curtained changing booth. I have bid on many but because postage to NZ is "huge" and our dollar so weak havent been brave enough in my bidding. If anyone has one to sell boxed and in good condition I would be very interested.

Loving reading back through the boards history - I have learnt so much already. Thanks to you all for your contributions and lovely pictures etc.

Hi Shauna,

I know that the UK Beauty Salon is identical to the US Calico Critter Beauty Salon that I bought a couple of years ago. I have never seen the JP version so I am not sure if there are any differences, but I highly doubt it since the UK and US seem to copy Japan's releases. emoticon

I just bought the Green Patio Set myself and in my opinion you don't need a fancy house/building to put it with. There is no right or wrong way to use your furniture. If you like how it looks than that is all that matters. I haven't quite decided how I am going to use my set yet. emoticon One idea of mine is to purchase three more of the sets and use the four of them on the "grounds" around my Grand Hotel. emoticon

As for the JP Dress Makers Shop, they are not easy to find. I am lucky in the fact that a JP friend/seller that I buy from just recently located a brand new MIB one for me. It is costing me $174.00 + shipping, but is well worth the money as far as I am concerned. emoticon

Great minds think alike, I was also pondering getting a couple of patio sets for my Hotel roof or maybe out the front of the Bakery (the older Flair one). Thanks for the infor on the Beauty Salon. I can see why I keep missing the Boutique! The NZ$ is only about .6USD so that would be a real killer. I will have to keep hunting!

I have been lucky enough to buy a Tomy Boutique on our local (NZ) auction site. It is missing three dresses but has the box and all the other accessories. Im not too worried about the dresses as I have another one that was damaged and cheap that had all the dresses. I cant wait! It should be here for the weekend with luck and although quite expensive was way cheaper than any of the JP ones I have seen. I think I might decorate the older damaged one up as a bridal boutique. Perhaps a one-stop-shop, dress, hair, make-up etc.
