Resource Center

Got a link? Give a link! Need a link? Get a link!

Inspired by TheRockie's post on the Feedback forum, I've set up this topic so that people can post links to other Sylvanian-relevant sites. Hopefully this little corner of the forums will evolve into a database full of useful and informative sites.

Here's my first contribution: our own gpwsbeaver's Sylvanian-Families.net, which provided most of the research that went into my fan translation of Sylvanian Families - The Fairyland Pendant.

Enjoy!

Kiki from Malaysia has pictures of her collection as well as has infomation on where to buy in Malaysia. She has ecards, wallpapers and sylvanian clips. What I like this website is the page on how she stores her collection.

Jacc has an excellent page on rare sylvanian items, including some that you might not have heard of such as French Koalas and the Art gallery.

Note : Website might take longer than usual to load but its worth wait !

Kiki has created a mini website to display her own Hotel ! What can I say ? She makes the department store's display look like rubbish !

Kiki's Grand Hotel

And in case you were wondering ... she uses Re-ment minitures for the hotel as well. It fit the SF scale prefectly ~! I also use em sometimes.

Just a friendly suggestion: add a hyphen to the name and URL if you can, like "sylvanians-uk". As it stands, it looks a bit like "Sylvanian Suk" instead of the intended "Sylvanians UK"...

(Copy paste from another thread)

Just in case there's a misunderstanding, please note that Rinkya isn't a shop but a deputy service outsiders can use to buy from Yahoo Japan! Auctions. Rinkya isn't the only deputy service for YJA they can be quite expensive.

Here are some alternatives, I don't know how reliable they are, but the first two are popular with people who buy from the Japanese auctions.

http://www.crescent-shop.com/
http://www.celga.com/
http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/
http://mukunoki-jp.net/index.html

Edit to include a write up by someone else on some of the various deputy services I listed: http://blog.vertebratesilence.com/2006/10/05/bidding-in-yahoo-auctions-from-outside-of-japan/

Also, if any of you want to surf for Sylvanians on Yahoo Japan Auctions without the aid of Rinkya's translator service, use this link:

http://search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/search?p=%a5%b7%a5%eb%a5%d0%a5%cb%a5%a2%a5%d5%a5%a1%a5%df%a5%ea%a1%bc&f=0x2&alocale=0jp&mode=2&auccat=0&apg=1

I've already entered the Sylvanian search string in Katakana so you don't really have to do anything, just browse.

I actually feel kinda silly posting this because I've already written something similiar twice in different threads. Hope you guys don't mind, I just think it might be useful to put it in the sticky emoticon

I have got some Forest animals, without cloths or anything.

On Ebay I saw some animals called Simba, are they a seperate brand ?

Are there a group/forum/sites for the
Forest animals too ?
