Re: New Domain

Ojive can we have a link added from the Solihull Moors Web page to this forum as most of the other clubs do.

When you look at other web pages there is nearly always a link to the Fans forum.

I presume it would have to be done by the clubs web master so could take time.

That's a good idea and would make it easier for other clubs fans to find the forum if they want to ask some questions about an up-coming game or something like that.

That's exactly what I was on about, i've been on other clubs web sites & linked to the forum to ask for things like directions, anywhere good to stop & eat and talk about the game.

Re: New Domain

I'm afraid that in an exchange with Joe Murphy regarding this very subject on the other forum, he was adamant that he would not allow any links from the official site to that forum so I guess the same applies. I gather that the club are concerned that any criticism of the FA on here (or the other forum) could be misconstrued as coming from the club and as such the club could be disciplined (fined) by the FA. Apparently in the past another club was fined by the FA because of criticism on a forum which had a link from that club's official site. My personal view is that fora are for the fans to express their views on all things pertaining to football (and other things) and if the FA find something to complain about they should, in the first instance, bring it to the attention of the moderator of the forum. Many organisations have links to outside sites and in order to protect themselves they employ a disclaimer. In my humble opinion that would be the sensible thing to do.

I understand where you are coming from Ojive but as i have seen on many other forums, couldn't we just put 'The views and opinions posted on this site are of the individual and not necassarily of Solihull Moors FC' at the top of the page?
